Orang Utan & Kayaking (Sarawak)
Departure: daily start/ 0800hrs.
Duration: 7 hours
In the morning your guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and you will start your journey with a tour to Semenggok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre where you will have the chance to observe the Orang Utans coming out of the forest for the feeding time. Your guide will give you further details about these amazing animals.
After the visit of the Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre continue your program with an approximate 40-minute drive to Kampung Bengoh where we will board our Kayaks for our beautiful day in the rainforest. Along a small tributary of Sarawak Kiri River we will test our skills first and proceed for 100m downriver to the main river. For around 1 hour we will follow this gentle river with its beautiful surroundings until we will make a stop at Kampong Danau where we will learn more about some native plants and herbs. Relax for a moment in this village before you will continue your Kayaking adventure further down the Sarawak Kiri River. A stop will be made at the Riverbank for picnic lunch, this will also be a good time for you to enjoy a swim in the river at some of the deeper parts. After lunch we will start our journey to the ending point of this adventure, Kampong Semadang. Along this part of the river beautiful limestone formations can be seen. Take a quick shower at Kampung Semadang after which we will drive back to Kuching
Please note that a Non-liability form have to be signed before the rainforest. The Sarawak Kiri River is a very gentle river which does not require Kayaking experience.
